The Youthful Indie Artist
Many times we have heard how entertainers and athletes” love the kids”. Artists do a semi – good job of helping the youth in their communities, but their music isn’t the best theme songs for the occasions. We all enjoy a good dance anthem or an instructional trap tune and lately younger artists have done a great job supplying us with those type of hits.
Yung Gordon has been deemed by me, Miami Dade’s voice of the youth, when coming on to the scene as a young indie artist who started from posting dance videos to his songs. Gaining much popularity from his local hit song “Finna Hit Walk”, Gordon has kids flooding their Instagram’s with Triller videos performing the dance with his song heard as the cover. With the hype of the song, Young Gordon has become quite the successful artists here in South Florida. Recognizing the wants from his fans, he has managed to create music that truly allows him to connect with his fans which has been a great tactic towards gaining his success.
Yung Gordon has been open to many opportunities thanks to his strong drive and motivation as an independent artist, for instance, he was the opener for Kodak Black earlier this year. The young artist just enjoyed a great weekend at SXSW 2017 in Texas performing at the Clash Magazine Showcase as well. Yung Gordon plans to release more singles and to begin working on a mix-tape this year. The young artist is on the rise and I don’t see him slowing down anytime soon. He continues to keep his name out in the city which a great sign for another Miami success story.
Make sure to support Yung Gordon by purchasing his music on iTunes, watching his entertaining videos on YouTube and checking out his creations on Sound Cloud.
