Gucci Mane's 'Against All Odds' Drops Oct 16

Gucci Mane is keeping October his month. The Atlanta trap veteran has announced Against All Odds, a brand-new studio album arriving this Friday, October 16. Guwop revealed the project himself on Instagram with just days of notice — classic Gucci, letting the music do the talking before release day.

More than two decades into his career, Gucci remains one of hip-hop's most prolific voices. And with Against All Odds, he's not slowing down — he's loading up.

What We Know So Far

The tracklist hasn't been revealed yet, but the guest list tells a story of its own. The album features Summer Walker, OJ Da Juiceman, and Ice Davis — G/

ucci's own son. That last one is the headline grabber: father and son sharing a musical release for the first time, a full-circle moment for a man whose journey from the trap to the mainstream has been anything but smooth.

Summer Walker brings Atlanta R&B royalty to the project. One of the most streamed voices in modern R&B, her emotional, melody-driven records have made her a go-to collaborator for hip-hop's biggest names — and pairing her with Gucci Mane is a combination fans have been waiting to hear.

And then there's OJ Da Juiceman. For longtime Gucci fans, that name hits different. OJ was right there during Atlanta's late-2000s mixtape explosion, when Gucci's So Icy movement was rewriting the rules of street rap. Seeing them reconnect on Against All Odds is a reunion steeped in trap history.

The rollout has already started with the lead single "Crash Dummy," which dropped back in April and set the tone for what's coming.

Gucci's release pace remains unmatched. Even by his standards, announcing an album just days before it drops is a power move — no long rollout, no manufactured anticipation, just music. It's the same direct-to-fans approach that made his mixtape era legendary, and in 2026 it still works: when Guwop says an album is coming Friday, the streets listen.

Gucci's October Tradition Continues

Gucci Mane has quietly made October his own release season. His 2025 album Episodes — a 23-track deep dive into his battles with mental illness and addiction, paired with a memoir of the same name — dropped on October 17 last year. Before that, he reunited with DJ Drama in 2024 for Greatest Of All Trappers (Gangsta Grillz Edition), a return to the mixtape format that helped launch both of their legends in mid-2000s Atlanta.

Against All Odds arrives without the memoir framework of Episodes — this time, it's all about the music. The title itself feels like classic Gucci: a nod to the odds he's beaten, from prison bids to industry doubt, told in the language he speaks best.

Why Dagr8fm Listeners Should Care

At Dagr8fm — the home of independent artists — Gucci Mane's story is the blueprint. He built an empire out of mixtapes, took the industry's "no" and turned it into a legacy, and two decades later he's still dropping albums on his own terms. That's the same energy independent artists bring to our airwaves every single day.

And with trap music's DNA running straight from Atlanta through Miami and South Florida, this album lands right in our wheelhouse. Expect the lead singles from Against All Odds to be in heavy rotation on Dagr8fm starting this weekend.

Keep it locked to Dagr8fm for the records the big stations won't touch.
